Congratulations, Waldo seekers! Your hard work finding Waldo about town in July has earned you this invitation to our super awesome wonderful and stupendous Waldo Wrap Up Party!

Bring in the cards you collected when you found Waldo at participating Austin independent businesses and turn them in today at BookPeople for prizes, games, pizza from Austin's Pizza, and to meet Waldo himself in person! (Not sure what we're talking about? Here's more info about the Find Waldo Local scavenger hunt.)

If you collect at least 12 cards, today you can also enter your name to win one of our Grand Prizes, one of which is a complete six-volume set of Waldo books!

Join us, Waldo seekers, it will be loads of fun!

How Our Events Work

BookPeople is proud to host over 300 events every year. Our events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise stated.

To get a book signed at one of our events, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business, but you are also showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople. Think of it this way: you wouldn't bring your own beer to a bar, would you?

For events where we anticipate large crowds, wristbands may be required in order to join the signing line. Occasionally we may also ticket events. In both cases, information as to when wristbands/tickets are available will be found on that event's specific page on our website.
